Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Clowns Without Borders UK

At Clowns Without Borders UK, the safety and wellbeing of everyone we work with, especially children and young people, is our highest priority. We believe every child has the right to play, laugh, and express themselves in an environment that is safe, respectfu, and free from harm.

Our safeguarding policy sets out the steps we take to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults across all our programmes, both in the UK and internationally. It explains how we prevent harm, how we respond to concerns, and how we create spaces where children’s voices are listened to and valued.

We expect everyone connected to our work – artists, staff, trustees, partners, and volunteers – to share our commitment to safeguarding. Together, we work to ensure that joy, creativity, and play can flourish in a way that is safe, trauma-informed and child-centred.

If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child or vulnerable adult involved in our work, you can contact us at safeguarding@clownswithoutborders.org.uk
